Training Classes

Continuous class meeting on Mondays at 6:15 pm

Our Polite Puppy / Puppy Preschool class is the perfect place to start building a strong foundation for your puppy! This ongoing class focuses on helping puppies learn appropriate manners while developing confidence and important social skills.

Puppies and their owners will work on foundational skills such as: Basic obedience and manners, appropriate greetings, focus and attention, socialization and confidence building, walking politely on a leash, and learning how to interact appropriately with people and other dogs.

8 week course – meeting once a week
Offered later afternoon on Sundays & Mondays at 7:15 pm

Our Basic Obedience class is designed to give you and your dog the essential tools needed for everyday success. This class focuses on building communication between you and your dog while teaching important obedience skills and polite manners.

Dogs and their owners will work on skills such as: Sit, down, stay, come when called, loose-leash walking, focus and attention, threshold training, and polite manners around people and distractions. This course provides a strong foundation for continued training and is a prerequisite for advanced training courses.

Offered Mondays at 8:15 pm

Our Intermediate Obedience class builds on the skills learned in Basic Obedience while introducing greater distractions, challenges, and expectations. This training course helps bridge the gap between knowing a command and reliably performing it in a variety of situations.

Dogs and their owners will continue improving on skills such as: Reliability of basic commands, focus around distractions, heel, recall, stays and impulse control, communication between dog and owner, and real-world obedience skills.

Offered Sunday evenings

Our Advanced Obedience class focuses on advanced manners, obedience, and the skills needed to obtain their Canine Good Citizen certification. This certification recognizes dogs that demonstrate good manners and responsible behavior at home and in the community.

Dogs and their owners will work on skills such as: reliable obedience around distractions, polite greetings with people, appropriate behavior around other dogs, walking politely on leash, remaining calm in new environments, coming when called, supervised separation from their owner, and responsible, well-mannered behavior in public.
